A rare look at the Lady Rainier statue in it's original fountain setting from around 1910. The statue was imported from Germany by the Seattle Brewing and Malting CO in 1903. This photo, taken during a cold and snowy Seattle day, shows Lady Rainier surrounded by ice formed from the water that shot from her glass of Rainier. The statue would later be moved to it's current location at the old Rainier Brewery. (now Tully's) This photo comes from the archives of venerable Paul Dorpat.
